MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) have no trans fat and are extracted from coconut oil (plain coconut oil is 15% true MCTs). High energy athletes (e.g. mountain climbers, triathletes) need more fuel - MCTs provide! Also if your diet demands energy without adding carbs, MCTs provide the fuel with zero carbs, and preserve muscle tissue too.
