Amazing for physical anxiety and jumpiness!

I get this physical anxiety where if I am startled for example by someone reacting in an unexpected way my heart jumps out of my chest. That kind of response is a flight response but at extremely unhelpful levels that completely paralyze me with the resulting blank mind causing confused panic. It was getting so bad I started to be worried that if I couldn’t fond some way to improve it I would eventually have some kind of heart problems.

I was on anti anxiety meds before for 4 years but no longer need them and they wouldn’t help with this response because this response is purely physical and has no thoughts attached to it. I started taking this because I searched online for natural ways to calm without making myself tired. For me the difference was noticeable fairly quickly. I have been taking it for 2 or 3 months now and I haven’t had one of those moments to that level at all. The moments I have experienced have also been few and far between.

I am able to function better in stressful moments because I don’t enter that panic state. At first if I forgot the pill it was noticeable but now it isn’t. The brain is plastic and so I feel like it is being rewired slowly, learning that it doesn’t need to have that extreme flight response. In a while I will start easing off of it.

One thing I noticed is that because I am used to being highly energized, my brain took a couple weeks to get used to not being filled with adrenaline every day. I was calmer and for me my brain equates happiness with energy so it was an interesting first few weeks. I found my mind struggling to tell itself it was happy. Kind of just that it was hard to learn to slow down but I wasn't depressed or anything like that and I didn’t mind because it was such a huge relief to not have those heart racing mind emptying responses! In the end this only lasted a couple weeks and I feel exactly the same now as I did before except without that horrible panic response.
