In 1993, a team of researchers from the University of Alberta, led by Dr. Jacqueline Shan, dedicated their efforts to applying the rigor of the scientific method to traditional herbal medicine. They developed a proprietary extraction technology called Chem-ical and Bio-logical Finger Print-ing, or ChemBioPrint®, a patented process to identify and isolate the active ingredients in natural health products. Extensive laboratory and clinical testing ultimately led to the development of COLD-FX®.
